Las Vegas & Tonopah RR south from Goldfield

We headed south from Tonopah to explore the Klondike Mining District.
After visiting a few sites we needed to press on in order to accomplish our main objective of the day: drive the abandoned Las Vegas & Tonopah Railroad grade. (Sort of like the RR grade we drove in Utah, but not as remote.)
We drove on to Goldfield and using an iPad map app located the old railroad grade east of town.
Our drive began near the Florence Mine.
Leaving Goldfield on a curved section of fill.
Passing through one of the many cuts on the LV&T RR.
East of the Chispe Hills.

Blacktop Mountain
One of many gaps in the grade. No trestles remain on the route.
Another view of the gap.
We found an alternate route down the wash. The topographical map had this wash route drawn as a road.
A 100 year old timber culvert.
The grade is on the right side of the photo.
The Stonewall Mountains in the distance.
A closeup of our next destination, the dark slot just right of center.
We drove in the wash for several miles
but after passing through another trestle-less gap in the grade our route regained the road.
Found this benchmark about 50 feet west of the grade.
The only structure at Ralston.
The Stonewall Mountains from Ralston.
The Las Vegas and Tonapah RR curves south to Beatty but we left the grade and turned east.
