Horseshoe Meadow - "around and through the water."

Beginning of the switchbacks up to Horseshoe Meadow. In about 25 minutes the temperature will be about 30 degrees cooler.

Air conditioner no longer needed as the sun sets across the dry lake bed of Owens Lake.

A pleasant low of 45 degrees.

We walked out to the meadow and Bosco romped around and through the water.

And Jan relaxed in the sun.

After lunch we began the drive to our next destination. Lupine were in bloom alongside the road.
