Big Meadow, Sequoia NF - "no damage except a few scratches"

We drove north to the Southern Sierra to climb Taylor Dome in the Sequoia National Forest.
We arrived late on Friday night and set up camp on short spur road at the SE corner of Big Meadow.
Minutes after we camped a large hard side camper backed into our spur road blocking the only way out. Fortunately, the owners of the camper were friends who were joining us to climb Taylor Dome.

Big Meadow from the summit of Taylor Dome. Jan is over there relaxing in the Four Wheel Camper. Cold drinks and warm food beckon us back to camp.

Just to the east of Kennedy Meadows a motorcycle passed us and a few minutes later the same motorcyclist was waving us down. He had encountered a sandy spot on a curve. Luckily, he just ran off the road about 50 feet and the bike landed softly on its side. Jan shot the photo above as we maneuvered the bike back to pavement.
